Mitre – The Delta
The Mitre Delta is a professional football that is used in both the EFL and the SFL. With the new ball, they wanted to attract a younger audience and create something that would be more than just a ball – something that represented the audience, and something they could feel part of.
Initial concept development explored many routes including a heightened flow state in which you are in control – Speed it up. Slow it down. Reverse it. Stop it. Step over it. Control it. Play it your way. The other a living breathing ball that came to life when you interacted with it – using touch technology.
This ball represents the people. The players and the communities. This route was called Sweet Stories:
The exact moment when everything came together. The moment you got goosebumps. The moment your hairs stood on end. The moment you’ll never forget.
Their audience have stories to share. They represent our diverse community of footballers. Mitre becomes a reflection of their stories.
